One thing to be clear about. Your page can be written and served in all 9 from the first day, and this website reads in all 9 too. The editor itself, the screen where you build the page, is in English today. The other 8 follow as the translations land.
How it actually works
You write in one language
Type it in. Whatever you use at home is fine.We translate the page, not your name
Your business name, your prices, your phone number and your address stay exactly as you wrote them. Only the sentences change.The visitor gets their language automatically
Tick the languages you want in the editor. We read the language a visitor's phone is set to and serve that version, and a small button at the top of the page, showing the language's own name, lets them change it. Free pages can add one more language; Pro pages, all of them.
Where machine translation gets it wrong
It is a machine, so it will sometimes pick a stiff word or miss a local one. Two things to know.
- You can fix any translation. In the editor, tap Check the words next to the language, change the line and save it.
- When you publish again, every line you did not change keeps its translation, including the ones you fixed by hand. Only new or changed lines are translated afresh, so it is worth reading those back.
- We do not touch numbers, names or addresses. Prices, phone numbers, your shop name and your street stay untranslated on purpose, because those are the parts that break things when they change.
If a translation reads badly to you, it reads badly to your customer. Fix it once and it stays fixed until you change that line yourself.
